iPod-Cloner is a DVD ripper for the Apple iPod that works in Windows. The application has nothing to do with cloning your iPod. I am sure you have figured that out by now. Instead, this application is simply a file converter and DVD ripper for the iPod. It actually will work with any mobile device that supports playback of MP4 files, but it is designed for the iPod and has profiles that will render high quality video optimized for the iPod. This application supports the formats Pod MP4 (MPEG-4), Xvid, H264, MP3, AAC, and M4A, so you can even use it to rip your DVDs for computer playback. You can even rip the audio of an entire DVD to MP3. There are two additional features about this application that I had never seen, though. The first one is that it doesn't need iTunes for it to send the files that you convert back to your iPod, and the second, that it can send the files to your iPod directly. How great is that? I am not sure if the application will download files off your iPod, but that would be great.
